Saturn in the 8th house why is it considered a placement that isnt that nice to have

Isnt it better to have Saturn in the 8th home rather of having it “ruin a more benefic home”? The very same might use, in my viewpoint, to Mars, considering that the 8th house is ruled by Scorpio.
